Nate is an advocate for illustration and illustrators. He has co-founded, along with his sister Salli Swindell, the platforms THEY DRAW, Illustrators For Hire, and The Illustrator’s Circle, which—together—are a thriving ecosystem for illustration.

In 2009 Nate co-founded, along with my sister Salli Swindell, an online illustration community called THEY DRAW. It features food, travel, and garden illustrations by artists, illustrators, doodlers, and drawers from around the world.

In 2015 Nate co-founded, again with his sister Salli, an online promotional platform called Illustrators For Hire. Its mission is to promote and advance the careers of freelance illustrators by exposing their work to art directors worldwide.

Nate’s third collaboration with Salli is a creative playground where people who love to draw can find community, inspiration, and guidance through live drawing meet-ups, on-demand video tutorials, and creative guides.
